First Female President of South Korea and Issues of North Versus South

TV AlJazeera International just reported the announcement of Presidential Election result in South Korea. South Korea has a new leader and first female president. She was the daughter of former South Korean Dictator. She won the Presidential Election with 51,6 % of Votes. Conservative candidate Park Geun-hye claimed victory Wednesday in South Korea's presidential election, a result that will make her the country's first woman president. It was argued that more elder generations voted her candidacy. Addressing crowds in Seoul's central Gwanghwamun Square, Park said her win was a victory for the people. "I will be the president of the nation who keeps pledges," she said (See CNN's Soo Bin Park and Laura Smith-Spark).

North Korea has also a new young President aged 29. He has a European Tertiary Education background. He was the son of Dictator Kim Jong Ill. He was not elected but appointed. North Korea is a communist and it has a totalitarian system. Political dynasty is implemented as well. The main question is "Will the new young leader of North Korea be able to bring change in their country?" Or he will keep maintaining a statusquo and continue a controversial nuclear program while many people suffer from hunger and poverty.

On the one hand North Korea is just like an absolute Monarch though it's a Republic. Unfortunately it's a poor and underdeveloped country. It spends a lot of money on sophisticated military equipments and Nuclear programs meanwhile there are lot of people in North Korea who are poor. Hunger cases are often reported in many parts of North Korea. Most recently North Korea successfully launched a rocket to the outer space on the commemoration of the birthday of North Korean Revolutionary Leader. Though they claimed the launching program has a peaceful purpose, many countries especially western powers and its allies condemned the launching program.

On the other hand, people of the Neighboring country in South Korea are  wealthy, healthy and peaceful. Both North Korea and South Korea  have the same linguistic and cultural roots but they also have different political and economic ideology. From economy and health perspectives unfortunately they share different fates.

North Korea is very exclusive and closed but South Korea is Opened and Inclusive. South Korean Economic Growth is good meanwhile North Korean Economy is poor and underdeveloped. South Korea used to be a closed country and used to have a dictator and authoritarian leader. However, today South Korea is much different from North Korea. South Korea a democratic and developed country.

South Korea is also famous for its Gangnam style dance...hehehehehehe...
By the way, congratulations Madam President !
